HELLO MARCH!

Welcome March!

March is a good month.  Lot’s going on personally.  Weather (should be) getting milder if you’re in North America and with that, people in general will be smiling more. Don’t come for me, it’s true.  It is also women’s month!

I’m saying women’s month yes but International Women’s Day 2024 is March 8^th and this year the theme is to inspire inclusion which is something we can only do as a collective.  I’ll share more about what that means to me in a follow up piece as this one is to welcome March and to include you into all the things I have going on this month. #inspireinclusion

March also follows the month of love which I think is fitting.  I talked about self-love in my last piece you can reference here and I’m asking you this:  “How did you do?”  It’s a question only you can and need to answer as you reflect.  I had a moment in the month where I had to remind myself about being kinder to myself and in my case, I can’t fix everything was something that stood out for me.  I was definitely kinder to myself, so I’ll take that W.  Remember – we can be amazingly badass AND be a work in progress!

Women’s Boxing

The last highlight is ….are you ready….an all-female fight card happening next month right in my backyard!  Of course, I already registered so that’s out there and now I ask you all to send all the good vibes so that your girl can step in the ring this year!  This would not be possible without my good colleagues and friends and Girls Just Wanna Box.  They have been creating various opportunities for girls and women when it comes to boxing, and I’m excited for this one they just announced.  They saw a gap and they filling it!  The’re already working hard at matching up fighters.  Love this, love people who take action and love them.  #girlsjustwannabox
