2024 Last Lap!  Last Push! 

Last quarter, last lap, last push!  However you see it, we have less than three months to 2025.  It’s mind blowing how time flies and if I look back to the start of the year, I will say that it has been fruitful, productive and challenging all at the same time.

Many will agree – and whether it’s your work life or personal life – we all go through the motions of busy times, downtime, tough times and of course those happy, celebratory moments.  I call it LIFE and if none of these things are going on, are we even living?

We’re all trying to make it and most of us are working through those lists we made late last year or earlier this year.  You know the ones – goals or, in my case, I did an in vs out list and I’m so pleased that I jumped on the trend.  Looking back, I’ve achieved most of what I set out to do and I noticed the changes within myself through that process of elimination and/or adding more positivity overall.  I recommend it.

That said, I still have a few items on the list I need to get to and, they’re all doable and attainable for the most part – I’m just in my head about some big ticket items like…wait for it…starting that book!  EEK!  I’ll say in the same breath that if you’re stressed about not hitting all those goals, don’t!  Being hard on yourself will never solve anything and certainly will not help you get there.

These last few months are typically busy and before we know it, Christmas is here with that last minute mad rush – and days later we’re ringing in the New Year!  I like the holidays, but I don’t like the mad rush, and I know I’m NOT the only one.  Here are a few things I’ve been hyper focused on this year which will help set me up and I hope it can for you also.  Enjoy!

Strong Is My Beautiful™

• Number one focus so number one spot 😊! Focus led to growth as a business and growth as a brand.  I’ve worked on generating awareness and making sure the mantra resonates, and it is!  I’ve been invited to a few vendor events, hosted website sales throughout the year, delivered corporate boxing classes for team building initiatives and hosted a few trauma release sessions through movement.  At the most recent gig, 120 people went through a boxing/movement session, and it was so powerful and so much fun – for myself and for the participants!  Things are happening and we’re growing!  There is currently a sale on the site but watch this space for Black Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day sales as well as order deadlines.

Boxing and Personal Training

• Have I ever grown as a coach this year? I’m so blessed to be able to say this.  I absolutely love this work.  Whether it’s to learn a new sport, to get fit & strong or just in better shape, I’ve got you!  My clients range from around 10 years old to 70+ and watching them grow both physically and mentally is a different kind of reward.  Watching someone’s confidence soar and seeing clients get out of their own way and out of their comfort zones is a beautiful thing that I get to be a part of.  Gift someone a session or a set of sessions with me 😊.  Reach out and we can chat about what is best – shireen@strongismybeautiful.com

• I’m still picky and a bit of a snob about what I use on my hair and skin. My word of the year is FOCUS.  Focusing on the things I want to accomplish but more importantly making sure my focus is and stays on the right things.  It’s easy to get pulled into situations that suck the energy out of us or being in our heads about the wrong things – not good for our mental health.  I’ve made a concerted effort to focus my energy on things that I can control vs the alternative and while it’s easier said than done sometimes, the stress is less!

So, finish strong on this last lap of 2024 OR don’t be afraid to switch things up and surprise everyone around you, including yourself.
